I can’t wait – Kay-dee Mashile

I can’t wait to drive home in excitement
To see you after a long day of work
I can’t wait to say “honey I’m home” as I open the front door
And call out your name as I look around the house for you
I can’t wait for the smile, warm hug and kiss as soon I find you
I can’t wait to come home to you…

I can’t wait to tell you how my day was
To recite the highs with excitement
And to hear your comforting words when I tell you about the lows
I can’t wait to hear about your day too
To rejoice over your highs
And comfort you through your lows
I legit can’t wait to come home to you!

I can’t wait to spend time with you and the kids
I can’t wait for the dinners and dates
I can’t wait for the family trips, baecations and chilled afternoons at home
I can’t wait to cook for you and our children…
But most of all,
I can’t wait to come home to you…

I can’t wait to sit with you in the comfortable silences and even in the chaos
I can’t wait to rest in your embrace and forget all about the demands of life
Even if it’s only for a little while…
I can’t wait to spend my afternoons and evenings with you!
I can’t wait to come home to you
Because home isn’t really home without you…

I can’t wait to spend forever with you, honouring the vows we made, knowing that we will always be together, come what may

I can’t wait to do life with you

As God continues to fashion us into the individuals we should be in order to be the couple we ought to be
I pray for patience, and perseverance, to wait diligently for you
So that one day
I can finally come home to you!

  1. Kay-dee I would have sworn you were writing to your husband at the moment until I read the last two lines.

    We receive Patience 😊
