Did I just take you down memory lane? If you grew up with family altars and family devotion, I’m guessing I did. I can remember having to learn it so that I wouldnt chop mouth during devotion.

Today we are praying

And it’s been another level of revelation. I’m totally blown away by the revelation in each verse. I read so many different translations and each one was just as good. So good that I couldn’t make up my mind which to post so I did a mash up to create the entire chapter

Because He’s my Shepherd I will ALWAYS be provided for irrespective of the need

He provides me rest and my place of rest is constantly sustained so I have no reason to fear

Despite all the many things I have had to encounter in my life, He refreshes and restores my mind so I have a fresh start every time I am overwhelmed. My path is that of righteousness not because I’ve earned it but because of His good name.

Fear can’t conquer me because God’s love already has. My assurance of God’s love for me makes the hard seasons of my life bearable. I can handle anything. I can go through anything because I know He loves me and He doesn’t let me go alone. Always near me, I am never alone. He leads the way till I’m out of that season. I’m comforted by your love, strength and peace.

I’m pampered in public. You keep blessing me even in the presence of haters. I’m anointed and I am royalty. Marked for greatness. All can see it and smell the fragrant oil. I am announced by you. Your oil soothes and heals me from everything that causes me dis – ease. I’m never on empty. You fill my cup again and again and again with endless grace from you.

You are my Shepherd. Therefore I am confident that it can only end well. It’s a win win for me. I win here in this life and I get to be with you in the after life. I just win !!!

Oh! Wow! Isn’t that just so good? Having a shepherd not a hired hand running my life is such a joy

I totally love being owned by JEHOVAH RAAH

Before I go let me leave you with a version thr just took me straight to the throne of grace

The Eternal is my shepherd, He cares for me always.
He provides me rest in rich, green fields
    beside streams of refreshing water.
    He soothes my fears;
He makes me whole again,
    steering me off worn, hard paths
    to roads where truth and righteousness echo His name.

Even in the unending shadows of death’s darkness,
    I am not overcome by fear.
Because You are with me in those dark moments,
    near with Your protection and guidance,
    I am comforted.

You spread out a table before me,
    provisions in the midst of attack from my enemies;
You care for all my needs, anointing my head with soothing, fragrant oil,
    filling my cup again and again with Your grace.
Certainly Your faithful protection and loving provision will pursue me
    where I go, always, everywhere.
I will always be with the Eternal,
    in Your house forever.
