Princesses and superheroes

Hey people

It’s been ages o! Officially a lot of cobwebs here but hey! It’s life. Been so busy sometimes I can’t even believe how much. I keep wondering whose life is this? How did I get so busy? How did this happen? I started the year thinking it would be chill, I would blog at least three times every week, I would finish all my pending books, spend more time being a mum, find more time to rest and relax and focus on my weight and my health and somehow chill is definitely not in my book ….

Feels like all my plans just didn’t pan out. In fact I dare say my plans had plans of their own.

They simply gave way to God’s plans and I’m making the most of what God has placed in my hands for 2019. And I’m glad the Holy Spirit is walking beside me holding me up because if not, I’m definitely not going to be able to juggle it all.

Anyway August is here

and interestingly, also almost over but not quite so I’m still going to milk it for what it’s worth because I love August; it’s my testimony month and because I have two birthdays loading …

And this year big party things πŸ’ƒπŸ»πŸ’ƒπŸ»πŸ’ƒπŸ»πŸ’ƒπŸ»πŸ’ƒπŸ»

So for those who have followed me closely you know I never throw my children a birthday party till they are old enough to be a part of the celebration and actually enjoy the party. So all those elaborate first year birthday party things that we do in this part of the world and invite adults, stress the baby and waste large sums of money for a party the child won’t enjoy or remember? Count me out!

So anyhow, it’s David’s turn this year and he’s four now so he even gets to pick the theme of the party. My son has been so fixated with super heroes in the last one year especially

captain America because of his shield

Incredible Hulk because he’s the strongest

Thor because of his hammer which can smash the whole world (in David’s voice)

Iron man because his super power is his brain to which I quickly responded, “I have no idea what that means David.”

“Actually” he says looking very serious “he’s so smart”

He wins on this one πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

And of course

Black panther – because well….

“WAKANDA FOREVER” and hey! You just gotta love the swag of a black super hero

So anyhow my son insisted for his birthday he wanted the girls to come as princesses and the guys as superheroes.

So here’s the thing, flesh and blood did not reveal it to him because that so happens to be the theme for project girl and project boy and this was long before we concluded on it and I never even mentioned it to him.

Hmmm… makes you wonder. Shouldn’t we listen more closely to what they say?

So anyway Project GIRL is here again!!!

Can you remember how good it was last year? Let me just help you

I’m soooooooooo excited because this year will be much bigger and better. We’ve added a few more slots. So hopefully we don’t get to turn anyone away this year.

But this year we have another reason to celebrate. We finally get to do project BOY

Totally worth dancing about. I don’t want to let too much out the bag but hey! Just know it will be out of this world good.

So do yourself a favor and register now. It’s for kids between the ages of 5 and 12.

PLEASE NOTE YOUR CHILD HAS TO ALREADY BE FIVE OR BE FIVE BY END OF AUGUST.

Please don’t falsify dates or call me about how mature your child is and how a 2 year old is actually 5 but in a 2 year old’s body
