Wind in her sails..

Hey Ladies.

It’s been a while!! How are y’all doing.. missed me?

So alot!! has happened these past weeks and something exciting is coming up in about two weeks. And we all know what that is, right?

But before we get into that, let’s do a throwback..

Let me take you on a journey of a conference we attended in the UK.

In the last week of April, we attended a conference called “Colour Conference” organised by Bobbie Houston co-Global Pastor of Hillsong Church. It was mind blowing!! It’s that kind of conference that’s hard to explain or describe. Your emotions are all over the place. As in, one minute you’re laughing hysterically, and another minute tears are flowing freely down your cheeks. Then later, you have goosebumps all over your body! Yeah, it’s that kind.

Basically, it’s indescribable. You’ll just have to experience it to even begin to understand it.

But, you ought to know that I love 😍 you… You do know this, right?

That’s why I’m gonna do my best to give you all the juicy deets..

So, the conference held in London on the 19th – 21st of April at the Wembley Arena… 3 glorious days of open heavens!

This year’s theme was “Wind in her sails”

On the first day, the conference started in the evening. We headed out early so we could get on with registration and get good seats. The doors were to open at 5:30pm and the event was to start at 7pm. But we got there like by 2pm and ladies, the place was already packed!!! Apparently, registration had started at 12 noon.

So, we joined the queue. Registration was being done outside and the weather was meant to be cool that day. Except that the sun decided to grace us with it’s presence… It got really hot!!

I started getting really cranky. I could feel sweat going down my back, but I noticed some of the other women on the queue seemed quite ok. We were there for hours. When we finally got to the front of the line and it was our turn, we found out their printers had stopped working. At that moment in my mind I was like, “OK, so registration must be a worldwide problem at conferences.” Ah! This conference had better beat my imagination o, especially after all this suffering under the hot sun to get tickets.

Anyways, we got our tickets, and went to stay on a different queue to get into the confernce auditorium. Yes, the doors were still shut. 😁 (I know what you’re thinking.. queue again!! Yea… 😁

Oh my, see how flawless we all look though… πŸ˜†

We finally got in and found our seats and settled in. Oh my God, the auditorium was massive!!! And I wondered whether the place would really get full. There were seats everywhere, but before we knew it the hall was full. Filled with women of all race, shapes, sizes and height.

A countdown started minutes later and every where went dark.. a spotlight came up on stage, and people of God there was like half a ship on stage. I have to show you so you understand..

Basically, they killed the opener. And then the worship afterwards… It was just refreshing experiencing Hillsong Worship in person and not from YouTube.

Afterwards, Bobbie came up!!!

Now, I have never really listened to or experienced Bobbie Houston before… She’s AHMAZING!!! Very unassuming, amusing, real, down to earth, sweet, with sugar and spice and everything nice. Lol. Bobbie is a breath of fresh air. And it was just so good being under her ministration.

So, Day 2 was a full day!

9:00am to 8pm and of course, we got there by 8am so we could get good seats..

There was another mind blowing opener, I actually wish I could literally hold your hands as we take a ride through my mind so you see everything as it happened..

For the 1st session, we had Bob Goff,

I’m sure most of you actually haven’t heard about him before but trust me, he’s the kind of person you’ll love to meet at least once in your life. He’s so cheerful, gleeful, full of the joy of the Holy Ghost. There’s no way you’ll listen to Bob Goff and not laugh. He came on stage and shot out confetti. Like who does that?! Listening to the stories he shared, you’ll just feel like you haven’t started doing anything for Jesus! He spoke majorly on expressing our faith in love.

And we got to take a picture with him later in the day. Yay!Β πŸ’ƒ

He’s so cool that he simply went round saying hello to people during the break outside handing out balloons. 😁

For the afternoon session, we had Priscilla Shirer. Anyone that knows Priscilla knows she always preaches up a storm!!!

Later that evening, we had Bobbie again! 😍 I absolutely just enjoyed listening to Bobbie speak. She’s full of so much wisdom and you can just sense that she has so much of the love of God in her heart. It just oozes out when she speaks. Oh and she’s always wearing really pretty Kimonos 😍,Β like always!!

See? I told ya!!

And the day ended with a word from Brian Houston..

The senior global pastor of Hillsong Church, was the perfect icing on the cake. The day wouldn’t have ended anyway else.

Then for day 3.. the finale!

We started off with a mindblowing opener,

I don’t know how they do it, but each day the opener always beats the previous day.. They just kept raising the bar, and you’re thinking no you can’t possibly beat this.

We had Bob Goff again for the morning session, then from here the whole event just took a turn I really can’t explain. We had a man named Jeremy come to talk us about the work himself and his wife had been doing in Iraq like when the country was really heated. The Lord sent them there.

And then The Sisterhood (that’s the name of the women ministry of Hillsong) partners with an organization called Compassion. And over the years, they have sponsored tens and hundreds of thousands of children around the world especially orphans and children in need. They showed us what they had done so far, and asked for women to adopt the children. How that works is, you get to adopt a child, but they don’t necessarily live with you. You just take care of them and they are yours.

Isn’t it just amazing to bring such hope to a child? To let them know that even though the world thinks you have no one that you have family that would love and provide for you. Isn’t it just amazing that God would put something like this in a heart of his daughter? And years down the line, through Sisterhood, they would affect the lives of thousands of children positively.

After that, we broke communion together. And the anointed Brooke Ligherwood (the lady that wrote the song “what a beautiful name it is” ) led us in worship.

The most amazing … (I know I’ve used this word a lot in this postΒ πŸ˜†). But, the most amazing thing about experiencing Brooke lead worship is that you forget the world. You almost can’t hear her anymore and it begins to feel like you’re just alone in the room with Jesus!

That’s the one thing that stood out for me at Colour Conferenc. It felt like a meeting that was organised specially for me and Jesus alone. Everyone brought it! Everything was arranged just so I could meet with Jesus 😍

For the evening session, Priscilla did not just bring it, she tore the roof off! What!!! Her message was a revival message. The kind that you can’t sit still..

Lemme leave you with some things she said..

“You cannot have victory if you are not a woman that prioritizes prayer”.

“You are the temple of the Lord, you are his house, and his house shall be called the house of prayer”.

“Your public persona will only be as powerful as your private prayer life”.

“What separates you from other women is that you are marked by God’s supernatural ability”.

“If God has called you to it, God’s gonna equip you for it”.

Ladies, it was a conference I won’t forget in a hurry. I’m sure i missed some bits, that’s to tell you how mind blowing the confernce was…

And then the closer!!! Lord!! They did it all, brought out their biggest guns. They sang, danced, threw out balloons, and confetti πŸ’ƒπŸ’ƒ I felt like a little child at the end.

Oh and afterwards they released the theme for next year’s conference, “Be found in the New.”

Who would like to go?! Raise your hand…

Guess what, ladies!! JUG is starting Fun Trips, next year!! πŸ’ƒπŸ’ƒπŸ’ƒ Whoop!! We get to go on conferences and fun places!!! And you get to come too!! Can I get a Whoop! Whoop!!

You can still see some highlights from the conference on our Instagram page @justusgirlsnaija.

And now weeks later after such an experience we are about to have another mind blowing experience!!

When Women Worship 2018 is here, ladies!!

And it’s going to be like nothing you’ve ever experienced ever!!! You won’t see this coming… the guests, the worship experience, heaven will literally touch the earth. Mark your calendars ladies!!! It’s going to be explosive. And follow @justusgirlsnaija on instagram for all the necessary information. Don’t say I didn’t tell you.

See you soon, ladies.

I promise not to stay away too long this time..

😘😘 Kemi
