Day 14: God will see to it

Hey Everyone,

Hope you’re all having a great day..

I’ll get right into today’s testimony…

Isn’t it awesome when you don’t just get a word for yourself, but you can pick a promise for someone else and see God do it!

Amazing God!

You need to read it for yourself from our guest writer Kay

This is my testimony from When Women Worship 2017. Actually, this testimony is not really about me. It is about my mum. And I am so thankful that God used me to reach out to her when she needed it the most.
My mom works with a Federal Government parastatal. Their DG was changed by the President sometime last year. The new DG came and began transferring people to different states in the country. He was also listening to gossip from those who were trying to gain favor in his sight.
Jeremiah 17:5 NIV – This is what the Lord says: “Cursed is the one who trusts in man, who draws strength from mere flesh and whose heart turns away from the Lord. That person will be like a bush in the wastelands; they will not see prosperity when it comes. They will dwell in the parched places of the desert, in a salt land where no one lives. But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.” (Woe to you, if you trust in man).

That was how my mum got a letter of transfer to the FCT – which she didn’t want. This new DG had never met her but, he had a lot to say about her. He said things like, “I heard that you have been at that state for 11 years. You think you are untouchable…”
My mum was worried. And because she has BP issues, I was ‘concerned’ about her. Notice that I was concerned but, I was not worried. I couldn’t be worried because i know the God I serve. I know that even the heart of kings are in His hands.
Proverbs 21:1 KJV – The King’s heart is in the hand of the Lord, Like the rivers of water; He turns it wherever He wishes.

I was at peace in my heart and persisted in prayers. Fast forward to When Women Worship 2017 tagged, ‘The name of Jesus’. I picked a promise specifically for my mum and this was what God had to say:
“I know the plans I have for you, announces the Lord. I want you to enjoy success. I do not plan to harm you. I will give you hope for the years to come” – Jeremiah 29:11 NIRV

It was a confirmation! I was so excited. I was thankful for God’s amazing promise and also i was glad that I could just enjoy being in God’s presence.

I placed my mum’s worries above my personal needs/requests and laid it at the feet of JESUS – the prayer, and the answer.

Next thing, Pastor M got on stage and she said, “No matter how hard that situation may seem, what you are going through right now is not greater than the name of Jesus. Whatever it is you have been praying for, GOD WILL SEE TO IT. I dare you to trust God. The name of Jesus is more than enough.”
That was all I needed to hear. I sowed a seed immediately.

To cut the long story short, my mum was invited to the Abuja/Head office two weeks after When Women Worship for a meeting. When the DG saw her, it was divine favour all the way. Her colleagues could not believe it was the same DG that was stubborn like Pharaoh. (I believe that he actually saw Jesus and not my mum).
My mum’s transfer was recalled/reversed. She was given a higher position, one where she has to work directly with the DG from the state where she was. Everyone was amazed. The DG said that it is people like her that he would love to work with and that as long as he remains the DG, she is untouchable.
That is the power in the name of Jesus. Don’t you just love this God we serve?

Lamentations 3:37 NIV – “Who can speak and have it happen if the Lord has not decreed

Kay.

Such a powerful word!

The knowing and assurance that God will see to it!

Is there really anything too hard for God to do?!

He’s such a Mighty, Mighty God!

Kay we rejoice with you for what God is doing in your mum’s life! And we hope to see her at the upcoming When Women Worship 2018.. 😉

Lots of love guys!

😘😘😘 Kemi
