#August30series: Love God

Hey people

7 days!!!! And still here

Today I want to share one of my absolutely favorite scriptures that keeps me moving everyday. It’s my go-to. It reminds me why I do what I do. Why I wake up every morning and keep going.

One day a lawyer asked Jesus, “what is the greatest of all the commandments?” Jesus answered with this:

If Jesus says it’s the greatest then you need to pay attention. He said this is what all the other laws rest on. In other words this is the summary of our very existence

No matter what version it speaks to my very core but I guess the message translation just cuts deep.

And I think what really strikes me is that Jesus doesn’t say serve he says love

I kept hearing this over and over love love love.

Why? because when you love someone serving them is easy. So I love God with my passion – I think him, breathe him, talk, eat, plan, write, play and live my life centered around him. I’m passionate about God and the things of God. I never get tired of doing things for God or God’s people. Like I said it’s what gets me up in the morning and keeps me going. He’s all I see.

I love God with my prayers, my worship and I don’t just mean my words …

I fix my attention on Him because that makes me a better person. The more I focus on him the more I become like him.

I love God with my intelligence. Loving God doesn’t just affect my spirit. It completely transforms my mind and my entire being. I’m not a mindless Christian. I love God with my intelligence. I will never do for a secular job what I won’t do for my Jesus. I will spend hours brain storming on how to spread the gospel and even more hours on ways to make people get the love of Jesus. Bottom line? I love Jesus and loving him makes me love his children too. Loving God makes you a lover.

Our lives are meant to reflect that love.

This is one of my absolute favorite scripture. Don’t get me wrong there are many of them but this one really guides my life and keeps me motivated daily.

Do you have one like that?

Okay people.

Let’s talk tomorrow.

Love you

  1. Thank you Ma. More grace.
one of my favorite is the assurance of his love for me in Jeremiah 31:3 ” God told them, “I’ve never quit loving you and never will” Expect love, love, and more love!
