Christmas dessert anyone?

Hi people.

Ok so I just realized I missed yesterday. So sorry it’s been so hectic here. Actually forgot to blog. Okay so I owe and I will pay.

Anyhow I was just thinking now of fun things to do with the kids this Christmas and I thought hey! Dassah is always asking to cook something with me and no way I’m letting her anywhere near a gas cooker or oven yet. I’m sorry I don’t trust her that much yet 😌😌

So this is what I came up with. How about making some no bake desserts? This will be great for those with really young kids or people without a working oven.

I’m sure you will have just as much fun making it with them as they will eating them. Please let me know how it goes. Send in pictures of the ones you made. Tag us on instagram @justusgirlsnaija would love to see how it turned out.

Dessert 1

No-Bake Peanut Butter Corn Flake Cookies

Ingredients

6 cups corn flakes

1 cup sugar

1 cup light corn syrup

1 cup creamy peanut butter

Instructions

  • Place corn flakes in a large bowl; set aside.
  • Combine sugar and corn syrup in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the sugar dissolves. Immediately remove from heat; add peanut butter, stirring to combine.
  • Pour peanut butter mixture over corn flakes, and toss gently to combine, being careful not to crush the corn flakes.
  • Quickly drop heaped tablespoonfuls   On a large baking sheet lined with parchment or wax paper. Allow cookies to stand at room temperature at least 30 minutes or until set. Store in an airtight container.

Hey what’s not to love besides you probably can switch it up with other cereals -rice krispsies or cheerios. I’m guessing they may even be easier to manipulate.

Ok guys back with another no bake dessert later. You will definitely have happy kids on your hands.
