The problem with people is that they can be irrational, insecure, unbelievably paranoid but what do you do? That’s why they’re people.
The problem with people is that they can be evil, manipulative, unforgiving and mean but what do you do? That’s why they’re people.
The problem with people is that they’re fickle, feeble, extremely childish and they will fail you but what do you do? That’s why they’re people.
The problem with people is that they are wicked. when you face them they pretend, when you turn your back they stab you but what do you do? That’s why they are people.
If you are in this world, you will encounter people. They are prone to mistakes, given to gossip and susceptible to spreading untruths but what can you do? They’re just people. They are human. And to err is human.
I’m not perfect and as far as you are human so are you. Imperfection comes with the territory. Dealing with my frailty is hard but coming face to face with the complications that other people bring my way is even harder.
Lord, I know the problem with people and I need something that makes it bearable. “LOVE”, you say. Love?! Oh! that’s easy I thought. Then I faced irrationality and love said: “be patient”. Then I faced hatred and malice and love said “be kind”. Then I faced betrayal and love said: “keep no record of wrong”. Then I faced gossip and insults: love said “do not be easily angered”. Then I faced untruths and wickedness and love said: “believe the best”.
This love thing is hard o! I thought.
But You see the REAL problem with people is… I failed to use their solution. The problem with people is I FAILED TO LOVE THEM. Father help me to love that in my “human-ness” I too may be loved. Afterall, I’m “people” too.
